50 Shades of Grey: Would you dare?

A few days ago I was watching a show on TV and they showed the new trailer for the upcoming "50 Shades of Grey" movie trailer.

As expected it was all hot and steamy full of possibilities and potential for the movie. I had to laugh because, as we continue to move closer to the release of the movie; the interest in BDSM has increased and I have noticed how it is becoming more visible on mainstream programs.

Women are seeking to learn more about being either more sexually submissive or dominate in their intimate relationships. I have even heard that some women have gone to matchmakers requestng to meet a man like Christian Grey.

The fantasy of being with a man who is so masterful in life and the erotic arts is tempting, but my question is... Do these women really understand their request. Most of them would not last a split second with such a man; confident and accustom to having his way. A man with the expectation that things are to be his way.

There is a reason the author wrote Anatasia as such an inexperienced young woman. She comes into the relationship minus a ton of the baggage an older woman brings. She is open to experiementing and allowing Christian to lead her through such an intense yet vulnerable sexual maze.

But, it is more than sex, it is about a couple's willingness to communicate, trust, and grow together in a profound way. It shows the push and pull of masculine vs. feminine then, reveals how they finally learn to complement each other in a way that creates a beautiful bond and loving relationship.

So, once again, my thoughts return to the question... How many women could really handle the true dynamics of such an intense yet rewarding relationship?

How about you? Would you be willing to open up and receive such an aggressive yet compassionate love?

If so, let's talk.  It is time to stop hiding out. It is time to live and love fully.

Wishing you much love and unlimited joy,

Dare to Live an Exquisite Life

This past Sunday while enjoying my weekly cafe mocha at my favorite Starbuck's. I ran into a friend of mine. As he was about to leave; he noticed me sitting at my table reading and decided to say "Hi".

He leaned down to say hello and give me a kiss on the cheek. I laughed and asked how he was doing. He smiled and said things where good. Now, I always tease him and and ask, "Are you behaving yourself?" This always makes him laugh since he is such an outwardly straight-laced guy from an old money background; he tends to be a bit reserved.

He says yes, he has been behavioring. He has no choice because, only a Goddess like me can get away with stepping outside the mainstream box. We talked for a few minutes and when he left. I thought about what he said, since I do tend to live outside of most of the restrictions that society sets to convince us we most spend so much time being unhappy and striving for more and more not always knowing why; the proverbial hamster wheel.

I believe life is meant to be a delightful and delicious experience. We must be willing to take risks and flow with the inevitable changes that usually offer an opportunity for something unexpected and amazing in our lives.

And it seems, this personal attitude has shown up in my life as an easygoing, pleasant, and larger than life presence that draws the most amazing people into my life.

It has earned me nicknames like: Diva and Goddess. These nicknames have been affectionately given to me and it is so funny because, they have followed me throughtout my life: Different cities, new jobs, new people.... Time and time again they pop up.

Interesting to say the least, what about you?

  • What nicknames have people offered you over the years?
  • What about your personalilty stands out and makes people take notice?
How people perceive us has always interest me since so few people understand the impact they have on other peoples lives.

  • How would you like to show up in the world?
  • Are you shining as brightly as you would like?
  • Have you even thought about the previous questions?

If not, it might be the very reason your life has lost some of its luster and shine. It may be one of the reasons you are not feeling much excitement about your life day by day.

Well, luckily living an exquisite life can be achieved by simply deciding to make simple changes each day that make you smile and feel good.

So, are you ready for more reasons to smile?

  • Where would you like to start?
  • In your career, life in general, or romance.
A few things I know draws people to me are:

  • I smile easily
  • Make them feel special
  • And find reasons to laugh on a regular basis.
People feel at ease with me; which is a rarity in our "microwave" society and diminshing one on one face time. There is an awkwardness that is invading our lives. And if you decide to take a stand and choice fun and laughter over complaints, doom, and gloom. People will become enchanted by you too and your life will change in the most pleasant ways.

Start with one thing you would like to see improve in your life; choice to be at ease and watch your life change for the better.

Have a wonderful day.

The 1 Thing Women Do That Ruin a 1st Date.

Hello everyone,

I have been focusing on the topic of love, romance, and the importance of serenity in your life. I have been thinking about the behaviors far too many women do that keep them single.

I am all for the business success and other lifetime achievements woman are enjoying. Unfortunately, the things we do and way we act in business or any other nonromantic interest can ruin our chances at:

  • Attracting
  • Creating
  • And maintaining a successful romance.

As more and more women are staying single and opting out of the dating world because, of a lousy dating track record. I thought I would offer a few insights to the problem and hopefully an easy solution to jumpstart more fun and fulfillment around the topic of dating.

There is one main thing a woman can do on a first date that will 9 times out of 10 prevent a man from calling her back for a second date.

It is:

  • Firing questions at him like you are a drill sargent or the manager of a company hiring someone for a new position.

Too often, women who are ready to settle down and are tired of the unpredictable cycle of dating; confuse asking questions to get to know a new guy with the need to interrogate him.

They claim they are tired of wasting their time with men who are unwilling to commit so, they want to know upfront his thoughts on fidelity, marriage, children, sex, etc.

Really? How are you really going to learn someone's true feelings about long-term relationships, marriage, children, etc. on the first date? A 1 1/2 to 2 hour date is not going to offer you any real information about the man who is sitting on the other side of the table.

But, women, who are using these types of fear-driven dating tactics. Are losing the interest of good men faster than ice melts in lava. He says good bye and she never hears from him again. Which makes her decide; he is unable to commit.

Not true, most men when faced with this uncomfortable situation; figure you have no real interest in getting to know them and are simply looking for someone to fit into the tux and be waiting at the end of the aisle for you at your wedding.

Note: We saw this sad scenario play out with Kim Kardashian and Chris Humphries. It was a marriage that never should have happpened, but they got caught up in the hype. Kim K. is not the only woman guilty of this type of disaster. She seems to have learned and I wish her the best as Mrs. West.

So, ladies, here's a tip. If you are ready to find Mr. Right and get on the marriage track. Learn how to date with finesse. Relax, have fun, and ask simple "Get to know you" questions that allow your date to reveal himself to you without feeling like a caged animal at the zoo.

Ask simple open-ended questions. You can create these from the information he shared on his profile about hobbies and interests. Then, allow him to ask you some easy and fun questions too.

Allow the elegance and joy of a real conversation be the teaser that makes him want to see you again. Give this a chance and see how easily you improve your chances of finding lasting romance.

Romance is not dead. Women simply need to stop "clubbing it over the head" and return to the pleasure in the process of meeting someone new.

Enjoy!

Your Words Are Real - What reality have you spoken into existence?

Hello everyone,
Question? How are you?
Looks like a pretty innocent question, right? We hear it everyday throughout our day from family, friends, and strangers. We hear it so often we seem to slip into autopilot when we answer this question.
What is your normal response? I'm:
  • Fine
  • Ok
  • Sad
  • Lousy
  • Angry
  • Scared
  • Sick
And the list goes on. Too often the responses are energy-sapping like the ones I listed above. How often have you heard responses like these. How does it usually make you feel? Bummed out, right?
Think about it. If you were asking the question in good faith, did you really want to hear an awful answer. We all can be compassionate, but sometimes we would like to hear some good news.
It can become so overwhelming at times and there are probably some people you no longer ask how they are doing. Because, you know they will not have anything good to say. So, you avoid them or limit your conversation with them; which is perfectly fine. You have the right to protect your good feelings and peace of mind.
But, what if you are the one who provides the "downer" answers to this little question? We all have days when we don't feel our best; this is normal, but what if you consciously decided to answer differently. Let's do this again:
"How are you?"
Now, instead of using the standard response to this little question; what if you responded by saying I Am:
  • Amazing (I got up this morning and realized I live an amazing life.)
  • Excited
  • Delightful (I am great. My life is delightful and full of joy.)
  • Fabulous
  • Fantastic
  • Magnificent
  • Wonderful
Can you see the direction I am heading with these responses? Say them with me:
  • "I Am Amazing."
  • "I Am Excited."
  • "I Am Fabulous"
  • "I Am Fantastic."
  • "I Am Magnificent."
  • "I Am Wonderful."
How do you feel? Better, right?
Yes, I'll admit it may feel a little awkward at first, but do this on a regular basis and I guarantee you will feel better and your life will begin to shift in a more positive direction. Gradually, you will begin to notice more happy and interesting things taking place around you and you are ready to receive this newfound joy. It can be really exciting and fun.
Will this simple exercise change your life overnight? It might, because, how you talk about your life and life experiences does show up in the outward appearance of your life. But, if not overnight; at least you will be on track to making some pleasant changes in your life and how it shows up around you.
So, instead of talking about lack, misery, sickness, etc. Talk about the things you are happy about or grateful for. Let the universe know you are in a good place by talking about what makes you feel good and guess what? You will be provided with more reasons to enjoy your life and the world around you.
How can I be so sure? Because, I am living and loving proof this works. When I:
  • Was going through a major health crisis (Fibromyalgia) that I left me in constant chronic pain. I chose to speak positive and healing words. I am completely healed and naturally pain-free. (I'll share how on a different day.)
  • Walked away from a 10 years relationship with a man I loved dearly. I chose to speak words of gratitude for the time spent and lessons learned from an interesting and wise "teacher". (New love has entered my life.)
  • Moved away from family and friends to begin a new chapter in my life in a new state where I knew no one. I chose to speak words of excitement and joy for the opportunities I knew where coming my way. (I truly wake up thrilled about each new day.)
I can list many more life events that I have used the power of words to create incredible experiences, but I mainly shared my personal experiences with you because:
I hope you allow yourself to utilize the power of your words to positively reconstruct your life too.
So, let's start simple. Tell me, "How are you?"

Change Your Love Story

Good morning everyone, I have love on my mind. It is a subject that is never far from my thoughts. I talk to so many people that are terrified to let loose and allow love to be a consistent part of their lives.

Why? Because, previous disappointments have left them feeling afraid, betrayed, lonely, unattractive, or undeserving of happiness. While all of those feelings can be a bit overwhelming at times. They are not reasons to turn your back on love. Love does not desert you, but sometimes people do.

The one thing I have learned from person experience and from working with others; is some people are only in our lives to fulfill a special purpose along our path of personal growth. And once that lesson is learned they move on or we move on. Yes, sometimes it feels sad when someone we care for so deeply exits our lives. But, instead of feeling a bunch of negative or unhappy emotions; try a new approach.

Rewrite your story; instead think about the things you are grateful for and the positives lessons you can take from the experiences you shared with your ex and then, let go. Let go knowing that you are graciously moving on and allowing life and love to provide you with a new love when the time is right for you.

Holding on to the past makes it nearly impossible to enjoy a happy and fun new love experience. So, be courageous and rewrite your love story. It will benefit you in a multitude of pleasant and unexpected ways.

Have a wonderful weekend,

"How to Love a Man"

I created this mini series called "How to Love a Man." to help a woman invite her man or future man back into her life.

In our mission to become independent and self-reliant. We have left behind some of our greatest defenders and support... Our men. Yes, I said it... "Our men". A good man can be a woman's greatest asset just as a good woman can be a man's. We were created to admire, appreciate, and love each other. The gift we offer each other is far greater then we realize or understand.

We allow ourselves to become so overloaded with doubt, fear, and mistrust that we some times miss out on a great guy who is more than able and willing to step up and be that King you are searching for to build and create your empire, raise a family, or other live desires and goals you may have.

Ladies, men are not the enemy. They need us as much as we need them. Yes, I said. We need them because we do. Love is an emotion that is meant to be shared and as a woman we need to feel and bask in the "sunlight" that a loving man offers us. We need to share our "sunlight" as well. Nothing can replace the magic that happens within a happy, loving, passionate, and extraordinary relationship.

So, if you are struggling with finding ways to keep that flame alive within your current relationship or are ready to meet a new man and what to ensure greater success at finding and keeping him if you are single.

Watch the videos, they offer simple steps that can help you achieve the type of romantic relationship you have been searching for. The first one in the series is: "How to Love a Man" - Appreciation. Click on the link below to watch the video.

Interracial Dating - A Woman's Opinion

Have you ever thought about dating someone from an ethnic group other than your own? Yes, why? Curiosity, new dating options, etc. No, why not? Fear of other people's opinions, rejection, fear of the unknown, etc.

Interracial dating has become more noticeable than ever. I personally am happy to see that more men and women have the courage to love the man or woman of their choice. I have always dated who I liked regardless of the color of his skin. I have had the pleasure and good fortune to meet and go out with men literally from all around the world. American men; Asian, Black, and White. European men; Greek, French, Italian. Middle Eastern: Arabic and Iraseli.

These men have treated me like a queen. Regardless of whether it was a few dates or a few years, the time spent with these gentleman was educational, fun, and a wonderful experience. Spending time with them simply reaffirmed what I already knew. The color of a person's skin has nothing to do with the quality of a man. It is the person he has decided to become and be that determines his greatest and likability/lovability.

Some have remained friends; others have moved on and I no longer speak to them. Life has provided me with this wonderful opportunity for friendship and love because, I refuse to allow other people's opinions of what is right or wrong prevent me from living an abundant and satisfying love life.

As a relationship coach, I hear the moaning... "There are no good men left to date and/or marry." I know this is untrue. But, if you are determined to limit your options out of fear and misinformation then, yes you are working with a limited supply. Even better, if you are willing to be more open-minded and relinquish your unfounded fears. You open up a flood gate of dating and relationship opportunities.

So, if you have never dated outside of your ethnic group and are curious about how to make the transition as painless as possible. I can definitely help. I have heard my share of criticism; received the dirty looks form observers; and been at the other side of clueless remarks. I can show you real ways to move past the naysayers and learn that love truly is color blind. Life is a beautiful thing once you learn how to move past the constant need for other people's approval and open up your heart and mind to new possibilities.

Your life and who you love is a personal and private matter. Your choices can create or destroy love in your life. So, if you are ready to love without limits. Contact me at: (Click on the name) Interracial Dating. I can help you make the this new experience as exciting and painless as possible.
Wishing your unlimited joy and lasting love,

Cyndi Harris aka "Madam C"
